From 11 a.m to 2 p.m. both days, eat in the loft, picnic on the lawn or enjoy take out. Build a sandwich with Big water Pastries, choose a side and indulge in dessert.

The Opinicon Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch
The 2024 season at this fabled resort in Chaffeys Lock is kicking off with a Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch on Sunday, May 12! Mark the following weekend on the calendar as well, as the 1950s style ice cream shop, romantic dining room, good times pub and patio will be open every day beginning Friday, May 17. Join in the fun as the South Elmsley Community Enhancement Committee is celebrating all Mothers on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. A light lunch will be served with tea or coffee and dessert. Treat yourself or a loved one – reservations are available by calling Karen at 613-283-6261. A goodwill donation will be accepted. The lunch is taking place at the Ronald E. Holman Municipal Complex, 441 Highway 15.

Friends of the Rideau Lakes Public Library is hosting a Spring Fashion Show and Purse Sale on Saturday, May 4! Although not on Mother’s Day weekend, it could be fun to attend with your Mom and gift her a few new purses. This is also a fundraiser for the library! Check it out starting at 2 p.m. at the Elgin Community Hall.
